How To Claim Your AHA eCard Via Email

The AHA has moved to using eCards, which is the electronic equivalent of a printed course completion card.  eCards are valid course completion cards and can be presented to employers as proof of successful completion of an AHA course. Within 10 days of completing your AHA course, you will receive an email to claim your eCard.  You must claim your eCard to be issued the card. The email comes directly from the AHA (eCards@heart.org). Sometimes the ecard email will be filtered into your spam or trash folders so please check these folders. We recommend that you print off the eCard and keep a copy for your records. If it has been longer than 10 days and you still have not received your eCard please call our office to verify that we have your correct email address on file.

  • Check your inbox for an email from eCards@heart.org with the subject “Your AHA eCard” (Please note: this email may be in your spam/junk folder).
  • Update your profile info – name, phone number, email address – and create a security question and answer.
  • Agree to the terms and submit.
  • Complete the AHA Course Evaluation.
  • You have now claimed your eCard! Your eCard Code is listed on the certificate. This code that will allow your employer to verify that you have an active card.
  • This card is yours to keep! Please save it for your records.

How To Claim Your AHA eCard Via Text

  • Text “eCard” to 51736.
  • Follow instructions via text to claim your eCard.
  • If you attempt to opt-in and your number is not in the system, you will receive a message that the phone number was not found.

American Safety and Health Institute Courses:

Within 10 days of completing your course, you will receive an email to claim your eCard.  The email will come directly from ASHI, American Safety and Health Institute (info@hsi.com). Sometimes the eCard email will be filtered into your spam or trash folders so please check these folders. We recommend that you print off the ecard and keep a copy for your records. If it has been longer than 10 days and you still have not received your eCard please email our office to verify that we have your correct contact information on file. ASHI does not issue paper cards in the mail, only eCards.

Onsite Courses

If you took an onsite course, it may take longer than 10 business days to receive your eCard as the company invoice will need to be processed and paid before it can be issued.  Sometimes the eCard email will be filtered into your spam or trash folders so please check these folders. We recommend that you print off the eCard and keep a copy for your records. If it has been longer than 10 days and you still have not received your eCard please email our office to verify if we have issued your certification (dependent on the company invoice being processed) and that we have your correct contact information on file.
