Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

The American Academy of Pediatrics’ Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)  is an excellent option for anyone in the medical field who has yet to receive their certificate. Any medical professional working in Labor and Delivery and the NICU, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, should have a deep understanding of the principles and practice of neonatal resuscitation.

Topics include:

  • Critical knowledge of NRP concepts and interventions
  • Comprehensive insights into newborn resuscitation, including a solid understanding of the correct sequence according to best practices that optimize neonatal outcomes
  • Supporting the goals and purpose of NRP for medical providers
  • NRP knowledge, skills, and teamwork, which may reduce neonatal morbidity and mortality by participating in a hands-on skills evaluation and skills assessment

A Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) will help prepare medical providers to care for and manage infants experiencing cardiopulmonary emergencies. Expanding your portfolio of resuscitation skills enhances your professionalism and job opportunities.
