Pre-test

Precourse Self Assessments and Video Prework are required for ACLS and PALS Provider, as well as ACLS and PALS Renewal courses.

ACLS and PALS Precourse Self-Assessments and Video Prework involves reviewing the relevant course content through online material before starting the in-person class. The video lessons cover multiple medical subjects and each lesson includes questions to engage the student. The Video Prework allows more classroom time for hands-on skills training and leads to the student being better prepared to participate as soon as they enter the classroom.

  1. Please prepare for your ACLS and PALS course by doing the following:
Review the information in your Provider Manual.
  2. Access and complete the Precourse Self Assessment and Video Prework
  3. This can be done via the appropriate link below (ACLS or PALS) or within your confirmation email.
  4. You will then login in to your AHA account or create an account to access the material.
  5. 3CPR requires you to achieve a passing score of 85%. The self-assessment can be taken as many times as needed to achieve an 85% or better.
  6. Download and print a copy of the final score to bring with you to class.
