New Parent Preparation
New Parent Preparation is a basic level pediatric course designed for new or expectant parents, caregivers, nannies, etc. This is an ECSI based course designed for Denver Center for Birth and Wellness, however, anyone can register. This is an informational course that does not result in a certification.
Topics include:
- How to perform CPR on an infant or child
- How to help a choking infant or child
- How to use an AED
- The 3 C’s of rescue (Check, Call, Care)
- First aid basics
- Bleeding and bandaging
- Allergic reactions
- How to use an epinephrine pen
- Asthma
- Drowning
- Bites and stings
- Burns
New Parent Preparation is a basic level course designed for anyone wanting to learn pediatric CPR, choking, and first aid. This a beginner course and does not result in a certification.
New Parent Preparation is a 2-hour course and is scheduled on the first Saturday of every month.
